SSF Night Rescue Author - SSF Hawk Testing and Support conducted by SSF members: The Only Wizak Hodges Shockwave Lowe Noob Civvie Specials thanks to my girlfriend who was supportive in making this map and for her comments on it. Many thanks to SSF for testing and Q&A on the map during its development. Special Thanks to The Only and Wizak for their technical assistance in the initial design of the map. Last but not least thanks to SSF who made this possible along with community sponsored links with information on how to design maps, namely Deadman's Idiot Guide to Mapping. To install simply extract the "SSFNightRescue.s4m" file into your swat 4 maps folder and your ready to play. This map ONLY supports Co-op and is designed for MP use primarily, sorry to you SP players. This is the first map I have ever made for any game. This map is not to be altered and redistributed without my consent, if you wish to contact me about the map then please post on the SSF forum at www.sheriffsdpt.com This map is the result of probably 1 and a half months of work to design and complete. I based the map on a realistic SWAT deployment scenario, meaning there are not 5 terrorists in body armor equipped with AK-47s. The map does work in SP but I did not configure the map to support stacks/entries/etc for AI SWAT officers because I designed the map primarily for MP use. There are two entry points to the target house: one through the front of the building and the second located in the back (hang a left at the fence). This is also the first map that is designed for sniper support in conjunction with the SSF 2.1 mod that includes a sniper rifle. The sniper house is located on the other side of the street in the red brick house. There is an entryway through the rear of the house that the sniper team should use. The first two telephone poles running in a diagonal line to the telephone poles located on the other side of the street provide a safety zone for moving to the sniper house from the spawn point. Suspects cannot see into this zone because of a blocking volume in the map. Beware if you step out of it though since suspects can see you. Date: 11/01/05
